Why? Well to start, Buick managed to fit all of the luxury of their larger models into a compact car, without cutting corners. The plush interior is comfortable and roomy, withcomfortable seats and an impressive list of amenities. Available technology includes (but is most definitely not limited to) Buick's IntelliLink system, internet radio, and a 7-inch touchscreen.

As for performance, the Verano features a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine, mated to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. Even with an impressive 177 horsepower, the Verano delivers an EPA-estimated 32 mpg highway. And, Buick has promised a turbocharged four-cylinder sometime in the future that will bump the efficiency and power up even more.
