2011's GMC Acadia received a five-star crash test rating, according to the federal government's New Car Assessment Program. This adds to the crossover's leading safety record. Acadia previously received the IIHS's Top Safety Pick signifying best-possible "Good" ratings in frontal offset, side and rear crash tests.
